Move over Walking Dead, the undisputed Zombie Kings will soon be here on TV!

Yes, after a huge global success of the movie, Resident Evil is coming to your TV with more blood hungry zombies.

German production house Constantin Film plans to bring Resident Evil as a TV series once the fifth and the final part of the movie, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” ends.  Constantin Film’s Chairman Martin Moszkowicz stated that they will spin off with the TV series production on two movies, ‘Mortal Instruments’ and ‘Resident Evil’ reported by Variety.

Initially ‘Resident Evil: Final Chapter’ filming was scheduled to release on August 2014 in South Africa but was delayed due to its star Mila Jovovich’s unexpected pregnancy. The film is written and directed by the Paul W.S Anderson, who is also married to Jovovich.

Nothing much can be said about the TV series at the moment. It is yet to be seen whether it will closely follow the plot and characters from the game or will they bank on the success of shows like‘The Walking Dead’?

In order to get these question answered we will have to wait for the movie ‘Resident Evil: Final Chapter’ to hit the theaters in 2016.
