Taking the concept of superior customer service one step farther, Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan has launched its first digital branch in Karachi at Dolmen Mall.

This marks a new era in digital services because it is the first digital banking branch to be launched in Pakistan.

The branch is at par with global standards and plans are underway for launching digital branches in Lahore, Islamabad and all other major cities in Pakistan.

The banking services offered by the branch include online banking kiosk, ATM, CDM and CDK machines, digital product posters, electronic media wall and a touch screen notice board.

Additionally, the branch boasts the feature of a high-tech iDesk which displays a host of information for customers to browse through, including product promotions, brochures for the complete product suite, branch and ATM directory amongst other details.

According to Shezad Arif, Head of Retail Clients, Standard Chartered Bank, Pakistan, “Digital solutions are the future of banking and Standard Chartered is leading the way in making digital channels an important and integral part of the way clients bank.”

Commenting further on the launch of this branch, and highlighting the future vision of the bank, Shazad Dada, Chief Executive of the Bank stated that, “In line with global trends where client preference is continuously shifting towards digital channels as compared to uni-dimensional brick and mortar set-up, Standard Chartered has employed an integrated multi-channel strategy investing heavily in the digital space.”

It is clear that the Bank is immensely focused on “Digitisation” and is working towards extending the digital and virtual lifestyle of consumers into banking as well.
