18 Soldiers Martyred, 12 Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Operation

During an operation in the Mangocher area of Balochistanโ€™s Kalat district, eighteen soldiers were martyred. This happened during the night of January 31 and February 1, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Saturday.

According to the military media wing, last night terrorists made an attempt to establish illegal roadblocks in the region, aiming to disrupt the peaceful environment in Pakistan. Following the orders of “inimical and hostile forces”, the attackers targeted innocent civilians.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies launched an immediate counter-operation by responding swiftly to the condition. The forces successfully eliminated the threat, killing 12 terrorists and ensuring the safety of the local community.

โ€œHowever, during the conduct of operations, eighteen brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat,โ€ the statement read, emphasising the bravery of soldiers who embraced martyrdom.

To find and capture the remaining accomplices and enablers, security forces launched extensive sanitisation efforts in the area after the operation.

The ISPR emphasised that, alongside the nation, Pakistan’s security forces are dedicated to preventing any efforts to undermine the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, stating that “sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
