Most dramas currently revolve around a disastrous marriage, struggles with the in-laws, sibling rivalry, illicit relationships, and, of course, the dilemma of the hero. He is divided between two love interests or two wives.
It’s quite ironic that though we have a choice of more than 15 entertainment channels, barely showing anything unique and fresh other than the typically cheesy and hopelessly filmy, high-flying masala dramas—the majority focus on jealous, scheming characters or the unrealistic goody two shoes.
