Due to non-compliance with Supreme Court’s orders to review fee structures, 29 schools have now been punished.
The Punjab government has canceled the registration of these schools as a consequence.
Earlier, the Education Minister Punjab Murad Raas had warned other schools to revise and follow the structure of Apex Court’s directives.
Furthermore, a 7-day deadline and another 7 days’ extension was given for institutes to do so. However, the 29 schools in Lahore did not comply with the orders leading to the revoking of registration.
Murad Raas also tweeted:
The Registration of the following Private Schools has been Cancelled on not issuing newly revised Fee challans. Notifications issued. More to come. Stay tuned.
