In a report from the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), there was a 5.1 magnitude earthquake on Thursday in some districts in Punjab. After the shocks, the residents recited Kalma-e-Tayyaba while they came out of their homes in fear.

NSMC reported shocks in Gujrat, Jhelum, Nankana Sahib, Jalalpur Bhatian, Wazirabad, Shahkot, and Bhalwal. The 5.1-magnitude earthquake as claimed by the NSMC originated near Kharian and had the depth of 15 km. Fortunately, there was no loss of lives or property.ย
