If you’re someone who loves being in this state, these shows will bring out the detective in you unlike anything else.

MindHunter is a show based on true events and follows the moment in time when the FBI started using psychology as a weapon to catch serial killers. In the 1970s to 1990s, the US saw many serial killers emerge who took hundreds of lives in total. This show follows their patterns, brings you up close to them, and takes you on a ride as it catches many of them.

This is a short show featuring a family in which the mother immediately goes missing. The show is full of exhilarating moments in which you feel the killer is about to be caught but that’s just an illusion. Follow the plot of two friends who uncover people’s most deadly secrets and in doing so find their lives endangered.

This is a new show on Netflix that we have to admit had us arrested with interest. It follows the life of a man, Nick Brewer, whose video goes online for a deadly reason. He’s holding up cards confessing to grave sins and the video says at 5 million views, Nick Brewer dies. The story uncovers in only a handful of episodes and trust us when we say, it’s a show to watch. See if the detective in you guesses the right person!

4. The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story

This is another show based on real events. It follows the trial of the legendary basketball player O.J. Simpson who was accused of murdering his wife. The show accurately adapts from real-life events and is packed with moments of confusion, suspense, and horror. This truly brought out the detective in us although the ending disappoints everybody.
5. When They See Us

One of the best shows on Netflix with millions of views, When They See Us is also based on real-life events. The show is based on the very famous Central Park Five case in which five young black men were accused of raping and beating a white woman. This show is not for the faint-hearted but it is a must-watch.
