5,000 More Pilgrims to Join Hajj 2025 Scheme

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the reopening of applications for the remaining quota under the Hajj 2025 government scheme, providing an additional 5,000 pilgrims the chance to perform Hajj. The new application process, expected to commence next week, will allocate slots on a โ€œfirst come, first servedโ€ basis, without a new ballot. A five-day application window is being considered to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

Previously, the government Hajj scheme received 81,500 applications, falling short of its required quota of 82,000 despite three deadline extensions. All initial applicants have been declared successful, with the ministry now working to fill the remaining 7,000 slots.
