51 Pakistanis Deported, 30 Offloaded at Karachi Airport

In the past 24 hours, 51 Pakistani nationals were deported from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE and the UK, landing at Karachiโ€™s Jinnah International Airport. Immigration authorities revealed that most deportees returned using emergency passports, with exceptions for two who had their original documents. Saudi Arabia alone deported 33 individuals, while Iraq sent back 14. Other deportations came from countries like Oman, Zambia and Qatar.

In a separate incident, 30 passengers were offloaded from international flights in Karachi due to irregularities in their travel documents. Immigration sources stated that issues included insufficient travel funds, lack of proper hotel bookings and incomplete work or visit visa documentation. Some passengers, like Abid Ali, were flagged by the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS).

Officials identified several offloaded passengers as potential victims of human smuggling. Aftab Ahmed, Mohammad Khalil and others bound for Saudi Arabia had incomplete documents. Similarly, a passenger travelling to Azerbaijan was suspected of links to human smuggling operations in Europe.

The crackdown extended to travellers headed to Oman, Dubai and Tanzania. Cases involved insufficient funds, missing no-objection certificates (NOCs) and duplicate passports. Authorities emphasised their ongoing commitment to preventing human trafficking and ensuring compliance with travel regulations.
