Pakistan still mourns the death of its maestro Sufi Qawwal, Amjad Sabri who lost his life in a target shooting by unidentified men in Karachi.

The late Sufi singer’s family has been trying to cope with the immense loss of his death and a recent news report says Sabri’s family is now leaving Pakistan due to security issues.

Azmat Sabri, the late qawwal’s brother spoke to Express news and mentioned that they would all be moving to London for the safety of their lives. He added,

“Although, we have spent all our lives in Karachi, we’re now scared. Our lives are at stake in Liaquatabad since Amjad’s murder”

Sabri’s brother also mentioned that they think they are being watched at all times and it has become quite difficult to live in these conditions since the late Qawwal’s death.

The family’s main concerns are the three daughters and two sons that Amjad has left behind and are worried for their safety and well-being.

“We will leave as soon as we get our visas,” said Azmat.

They will soon be applying for the visas through former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and also request the government to finance their travel expenses.

When news of the Sabri family leaving the country hit media networks it then spread like fire. Twitteratti took to the social media network to express their views!
