Following the phenomenal performance on the opening day of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Pakistan maintained its performance throughout the tournament.
Pakistani athletes bagged a total of 21 medals, which includes 2 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, and 16 Bronze medals.
Turkmenistan significantly dominated the tournament with 245 medals out of which 89 of them were gold. China and Iran followed on 2nd and 3rd places with China winning 97 medals (42 gold) and Iran bagging 118 medals (36 gold) respectively.
Ju-Jitsu Men Duo
Gold Medal
Rafiq Siddiq and Shahzeb Nawaz Janjua won the hearts of a lot of Pakistani’s after giving a tremendous performance and bagging gold medals for Pakistan in ju-jitsu’s men duo.
Silver Medals
Pakistan also managed to acquire 3 silver medals in belt wrestling, men’s duo classic style ju-jitsu and mixed duo classic style ju-jitsu.

Mohammad Adnan (90kg men’s Pahlavani-style wrestling (belt), Mohammad Ammar and Abu Huraira (men’s duo classic style ju-jitsu) and Rafiq Siddiq and Komal Emmanuel (mixed duo classic style ju-jitsu).
Bronze Medals
Ambreen Masih and Beenish Khan fetched 2 medals each in belt wrestling, while the rest 4 were grabbed during ju-jitsu, which made Pakistan win a total of 8 bronze medals this tournament.
Ambreen Masih clinched a bronze medal in women freestyle wrestling, bagging a total of 3 bronze medals in total at the event.
Maaz Khan — Dhaka South Asian Games gold medalist — won a bronze in kickboxing at the event.
Muhammad Sajjad bagged a bronze in 6-Red men’s singles snooker competitions.
