Pakistan’s map is no longer a map anymore! The beautiful outline of our homeland is now also a lake in Lahore! The Greater Iqbal Park opened its doors to the public on August 14th, 2017!
The second phase of the project is now currently being constructed, which also includes a lake in the shape of Pakistan.
However, it will be some time before we see the final results of the beautiful creation.  According to LDA, the project will assure the renovation of Minar-i-Pakistan Complex and the extension of Iqbal park by adding in more space which will form a circular garden around the road between the Lahore Fort and the Park.
There will also be elaborate walkways, thematic food courts, and art gardens. The food court is being designed in the park is based on the heritage and culture of all the four provinces of Pakistan including Gilgit Baltistan. Fountains and lighting will also be added.
A launch date has not been shared, however, the lake and museum have almost reached their completion.
