We might soon see a T10 version of Pakistan Super League happening sometime soon if all goes accordingly. That’s not all, PCB might plan to host the entire event on home soil in Pakistan later this year!
The New’s Khalid Hussain has reported that all 6 franchise owners had met with PCB Cheif, Najam Sethi, in a marathon meeting held in Dubai on Sunday to discuss the possibility of the format.
“It’s a great idea and all of us are backing it because a full edition of a T-10 league in Pakistan will be a big leap forward towards the return of international cricket to our country,” one of the PSL franchise owners has been quoted as saying by the publication.
Last year, the UAE hosted the T10 Cricket League, which also included several Pakistani cricketers, including Mohammad Amir, Sarfraz Ahmed, and more.
“The thing is that there is a need to have a T-10 league and it will be better for our cricket if such a league is held in Pakistan,” another of the franchise owners was quoted as saying.
“I think, we just have to get the league back to home because it is Pakistan’s league and the people there own it and relate to it more,” the Islamabad United skipper had said earlier.
A T10 cricket league back in Pakistan would be a start in that direction.
