New Islamabad Airport has received a red alert, warning Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of a possible terrorist attack.
According to a report on Daily Jang, security agencies have sent out the alert after the looming of threats in Attock, following a suicide attack. At least 3 were killed whereas 18 were left injured when a van was attacked at Dhoke Gama on Thursday.
Now, under new directives, all passengers will only be allowed to be accompanied by 1 individual. A new troubleshooting has been established to address operational issues at the airport.
The New Islamabad Airport had finally been inaugurated after years of delay by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who conducted the ceremony on 3rd May. An aeroplane of selective bloggers and media personals had the opportunity to be the first few individuals to fly to the new airport and explore it.

The very next day, a conveyer belt broke down, leaving the airport to look more like a bus station, which had caused a lot of inconvenience to all passengers whose luggage was stuck on the other side.
