Honda Atlas Cars Limited, aka Honda Pakistan, has announced a price increase for all its vehicles according to its latest circular.
The letter reads:
“Keeping in view the increase in forex [dollar rates] and its impact on CKD [Complete Knocked Down kits] and other parts, HACPL is compelled to increase the prices of Honda cars with effect from May 5,”
This means that the Honda City (1.3 L, Automatic) is now priced at Rs. 2,574,000 after an increase of Rs. 65,000, and the 1.5L Oriel Civic variant will now cost Rs. 4,349,000 after an increase of Rs100,000.
According to the notice, these new prices are applicable on all bookings received after April 23. Other car prices are as followed:
Moreover, the current price (as on May 4) applies to old orders with full payment as of April 22. Deliveries for previous orders with partial payment as of April 22 will be made on the new prices.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Indus Motor Company, aka Toyota Pakistan also announced an unfortunate price hike on their vehicles.
These prices have seen a massive rose due to the falling value of the Rupee in front of the Dollar. Not to forget, as industries are closed, importing parts have become very costly for manufacturers.
