What Is An MBBS Degree?
The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) is a professional undergraduate degree in medicine. The focus of the curriculum is to prepare students for a career in Medicine. For an MBBS, students approach various subjects. Areas like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology (among others) are explored. As a result, it usually takes 4-6 years to graduate with an MBBS degree.
Struggles of MBBS Students
A study was carried out in India across 70 institutions, which revealed surprising results. Almost 45% of students wanted to drop out of their courses in the middle of the semester. The schedule and routine of medical students are extraordinarily strict. This affects the mental health of students more intensely. A large number of medical students are pursuing the field due to parental pressure as well, which makes it harder.

All these tweets are pouring in, and we can’t help but laugh! Students are voicing their struggles while making light of their academic struggles. Everyone is also coming together from various Universities to joke about the loss of hair and jawline. There are more memes about songs and personalities, and we’re sympathizing with these students.
Pakistan Especially Lags Behind
In Pakistan, the resources in medical universities are limited. Professional equipment is either scarce or out-dated. In addition to that, the information in the books has not been updated in a long time. Because of that, the curriculum that needs to be covered is additional.
Keeping all these things in mind, we must appreciate our doctors and surgeons more!
