Surely, Malik was aware she and her sister’s comments are controversial. The real question is, are they willing to stand the test of a controversy?

The ‘Jesus’ Tweets
Humaima Malik straight up mocks Mustehsan and says “don’t tweet about Pakistani women with ‘Jesus’ tweets”. She then directly acknowledges that that was “Really blunt” but is not sorry because “it’s true”.

Humaima Malik’s logic stems from her philosophy that all women are equal. “They all have the same maqam” regardless of what they wear, what they say and where they remain. “Be it Qandeel Baloch or Mahira Khan, they are all equal”, is what Humaima Malik said on national television.
The ‘New Lot’ Singled Out
Humaima Malik’s sister then proceeded to supplement what Malik had said. She added how in the entertainment industry there is a “new lot” who is very judgemental. They judge others on their clothes, on their style of speaking and lifestyle etc. which even Badami agrees should not happen.
Indirectly or directly, the two sisters have also called ‘Momina Mustehsan’ part of the new lot. Moreover, isn’t it ironic for them to judge Momina Mustehsan on her way of speaking etc. while calling her out for doing the same?
Netizens Aren’t Too Supportive of Maliks
Netizens are now tired of people constantly putting each other down for a few views. This constant back-and-forth bickering and controversial statements have tired people out. Even other than that, they are sick of people twisting another’s word and then spreading misinformation!
What Is The Range of ‘From Qandeel Baloch to Mahira Khan’?
Humaima Malik uses this phrase and it begs the question: what is this range? Why is there such a huge difference between Qandeel Baloch and Mahira Khan that Malik felt she should make a standard out of it?
Humaima Malik is actually protesting against the classification and comparison of women but unfortunately, she does the same through statements like these. It is even more disappointing to see that this is the second time such a controversy is coming out of Waseem Badami’s show. Pitting women against each other constantly is not funny anymore.
