Aamir Liaquat makes headlines every now and then either for his performance at his shows or for the scandals in his personal life. The last scandal was right after his infamous Naagin dance when his alleged third wife had come to the forefront.

The recent scandal of Aamir Liaquat

In recent news, he was observed getting into a heated argument with a traffic policeman. Allegedly, Aamir Liaquat had seen the official committing bribery which led to the outburst. As a Pakistani, who has to go out into the public sphere on daily basis, this is a common and factual occurrence; seeing bribery happening in broad daylight.

In this instance, MNA Aamir Liaquat saw the traffic police official committing bribery, exploiting the newly imposed SOPs during the lockdown. He got out of the car and into a verbal fight with the official. The official has filed a petition against Aamir Liaquat for verbal abuse.

Numerous channels and publications have covered MNA’s side of the story but not many have covered the traffic police’s statement.

Mixed views of Pakistanis

Pakistanis on Twitter have differing views. Some netizens are actually appreciating Jeeeway Pakistan’s host getting angry at the traffic police. What these people are saying is that it is high time traffic police were also held accountable; for all the times they have violated the rules themselves.

At the same time, there were people who were not that happy with the MNA. To be specific, they found his behavior disrespectful. Some even said that scandalous celebrities in Pakistan tend to be overtly religious, conservative, and anti-liberals.

Now, that is some shade thrown at Sadaf Kanwal and Shahroz Sabzwari alongside Aamir Liaquat.

Did bribery actually happen in this specific instance? We do not know that. It could have, or it could not have. What we know is that Aamir Liaquat believes the bribery took place. Should bribe-takers be held accountable? Yes. But was this the only way to do that? Not really.

If he believed that bribery happened, then he should have filed a case against the officer. Cursing death upon anyone is not the grown-up way to deal with problems.

For now, the traffic policeman has filed a petition against the MNA. Hopefully, Bas Karo Na actor will take this as a much-needed lesson and in the future, deal with situations accordingly.
