The famous television actress and model Areeba Habib recently tied the knot and the pictures have since then flooded the internet. The actress made a gorgeous bride and while many have taken the time to swoon at her get-ups, many cannot look past her husband. The trolling has become so extreme that it is hard to ignore it. Here’s what’s going on:

Why Is Husband Being Targeted?
Her husband, Saadain, has, unfortunately, become the target of netizens. All those who see Areeba Habib’s pictures seem to only see him and feel that they have the right to comment on his appearance. Under several posts made on the celebrity’s wedding, the comments have been littered with attacks.
While many talk about how commenting on and shaming someone on their wedding day is the lowest one can go, others simply run wild with their imagination. Have a look at some of the comments that have been made on Saadain:

A Growing Culture Or An Inherent Trait?
If you jog your memory, you’ll realise that the very same happened when Mushk Kaleem got married. The model’s husband was targeted for his baldness and all the comments and many netizens were only concerned with that. The principle was the same: another person being bullied at their wedding. The fact that this is again happening here shows that this trend or this activity might be more common than we think and that’s concerning.
This extreme lack of empathy and this growing desire to constantly hurt another should be discouraged. Why should one only be nice and caring towards those who we know? Strangers, people on the internet, deserve kindness too. It is also absurd to think “let’s comment whatever it’s not like they’ll see it” because celebrities also go through fan posts and they can come across such comments.
