What Is It?

The Sindh government has shared an announcement that it is looking to recruit 1200 interns. These interns will be college teachers in several government colleges of the province. Moreover, they will get the stipend that is set for the Sindh teaching internship program (STIP) 2022.

Everybody who sees the term โ€œpaid internshipโ€ thinks of the stipend first thing. Weโ€™ll ease your curiosity and have you know that the internship allowance amounts to Rs. 60,000 per month. It will be provided to the interns subject to satisfactory performance so yes, youโ€™ll have to pull your weight.

The programme also outlines that the interns would neither be regularised nor appointed on a contractual basis. The hiring period would basically be till the joining of a regular subject specialist. You will essentially be acting as a substitute teacher.

Which Subjects?

Each person knows their strengths and weaknesses and the subject you may be able to teach brilliantly the other may not. The programme will hire total 1,200 internees. Out of these, 240 would teach physics, 240 chemistry, 120 mathematics. Besides that, 120 would teach botany and zoology, 240 English, 60 Pakistan Studies, and 60 Islamiat, Sindhi and Urdu.

Who All Can Apply?

You can apply for the Sindh Paid Internship Programme if you are a postgraduate student. Any 2nd division/equivalent from an HEC recognised university can also.

If youโ€™re under the age of 43, consider yourself eligible.

How To Apply

Applications along with supporting documents i.e. attested copies of CNIC, domicile/PRC (D), qualification/academic certificate, mark sheets and experience (if any) should be submitted to District Education Officer (ES&HS)/Chairman DSCI, of the concerned district within the next 15 days.
