The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted rain, windstorms, and isolated hailstorms in Sindh from February 29 to March 2. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah declared a rain emergency, urging local authorities and hospitals to be on high alert and advising citizens to stay indoors unless necessary. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority informed about expected rainfall in southern and central parts of Sindh, with Karachi expected to receive 13 to 16 millimeters of rain.
Efforts to address drainage issues in Karachi were discussed, with plans to alleviate water pressure on Shahra-e-Faisal during rainfall. Additionally, measures were outlined to improve traffic flow during adverse weather conditions.
