Speaking about the growing rumours of Pakistani actors’ desire to work in Bollywood, Mikaal shared his candid views. He emphasised that, in his opinion, there is an ongoing ban on Pakistani actors in India, which he finds both “hilarious and odd.”

Explaining this, he added, “It’s a very big industry, no doubt, but if Indian industry people think we are dying to work there, that’s just not the case.”

Mikaal mentions, had the Indian film fraternity approached Pakistani talent with regard and respect, offering meaningful roles, of course, he would not hesitate to go there. But he made it clear that there was no desperation on the part of Pakistani artists. “We are not desperate to work there,” he said firmly.
The Realities of Bollywood and Politics
Mikaal also spoke about the political factors that impact the career of the actor. “I do not know much about the political situation there, but I feel that if someone gains success in India, the industry often tries to cut them off the screen,” he added. He feels this unfortunate reality is a reflection of the world within which one has to work, where politics and power play a significant role in the opportunities offered to actors.
