Karachi’s air quality remains a major concern. The city has an AQI of 173, ranking as the sixth most polluted globally and the fifth in Pakistan. Poor air quality is driven by industrial emissions, vehicular pollution and seasonal crop burning, compounded by cooler temperatures and slow-moving winds trapping pollutants.
