Netflix is stepping into new territory with ”Squid Game: Unleashed’,’ a multiplayer video game inspired by the streaming giant’s most-watched series. For the first time, Netflix is opening its gaming platform to non-subscribers, allowing everyone to experience the thrill. Alain Tascan, Netflix’s President of Games, stated, “Squid Game: Unleashed is all about playing with (or against) your friends in the iconic games from the series, so we’re inviting everyone into the chaos this holiday season.”

Launching next Tuesday, the game includes popular challenges like Glass Bridge and Red Light Green Light. This release precedes the second season of Squid Game, which is set to debut on December 26, 2024. Netflix also announced “Steel Paws,” a game from acclaimed developer Yu Suzuki, arriving in 2025, further expanding its gaming portfolio.
