Speaking about her career, Mahira Khan stated how acting had been the centre of her happiness. “If I weren’t an actor and if I were to do any other job, I wouldn’t be able to smile the way I do.”ย she shared.

Meeting Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Mahira also shared a lesser-known story from early in her career. Before her son Azlan was born, she had been offered a film in India through Rizwan and Moin Baig. During her visit to Bombay, she had the opportunity to meet the renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The day before her meeting, Mahira got ready for the occasion with a photoshoot, the pictures of which she still cherishes. However, the film never came into being because of political happenings at the time.

Happiness on Set

Despite her challenges, Mahira expressed that her love for acting keeps her grounded. โ€œNo matter whatโ€™s happening in my life, when Iโ€™m on set, Iโ€™m the happiest girl in the world,โ€ she said.

Her ability to leave personal struggles behind and completely embrace her work highlights her professionalism and passion for what she does. Indeed for Mahira, acting is not just a career but rather her calling, which she values with all her heart.
