The queen of at-home fitness, Jane Fonda, is returning, but this time she’s introducing her well-known exercises into the virtual reality realm. Using Meta Quest headsets, Meta has unveiled a new commercial for Supernatural, their virtual reality fitness platform. It reimagines Fonda’s exercise legacy from the 1980s for the contemporary, tech-savvy youth. The intention is to demonstrate that cardio can be interesting and enjoyable rather than dull.
New VR Workout Series
The creative campaign, developed by the NYC-based agency Mythology and directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, takes viewers on a journey from the retro era of VHS tapes, sweatbands, and spandex to the futuristic world of VR fitness. At the heart of the campaign is a four-part VR workout series led by Jane Fonda herself. The series combines boxing, flow, and stretching with Supernaturalโs immersive technology and will be available starting December 25 for Meta Quest headsets.
