โ€œI am committing $1 million in partnership with @rewildโ€™s Rapid Response Programme to support both urgent needs and post-fire recovery efforts,โ€ DiCaprio wrote. The beneficiaries include the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen and Pasadena Humane Society. These organisations provide essential resources to firefighters, first responders and impacted communities.

The actor, who grew up in Southern California, also encouraged others to contribute by sharing direct links to the organisations on his Instagram. His donation is part of a broader relief effort, which includes contributions from major corporations. Google and YouTube recently pledged $15 million, while Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, donated $4 million.

Metaโ€™s support also includes $2 million in cash and ad credits for recovery efforts. These ad credits will fund public service messaging and help fundraising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram. Other tech and entertainment giants, including Disney, Netflix and Amazon have also stepped forward with substantial contributions, highlighting a united effort to assist communities affected by the devastating fires.
