Emirates to Establish it's Cargo Hub at Karachi Airport

Emirates Airlines announced that it will form a major hub for cargo at Karachi Airport. As per sources, it decided to make Karachi its hub for cargo services as demand grew within the business and has asked for about 90,000 square feet in the cargo terminal.

So far, Emirates handles a significant share of cargo business from Karachi. In 2024, the airline transported more than 27,000 tons of cargo from the city. However Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), due to lack of attention and proper planning, managed to handle only 2,000 tons of cargo business during the same duration.
