78 Cell Phones, Including 54 iPhones Seized from PIA Crew 

Customs officials seized 78 expensive cell phones, including 54 iPhones, valued at hundreds of thousands of rupees, from the crew of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Dubai-Multan flight. Five crew members, including senior steward Faisal Pervaiz, air hostesses Nishat and Sadaf and flight stewards Imran and Khalid Khan, were found carrying iPhone 16 Pro.

Acting on a tip-off, customs authorities detained the crew and took away 24 iPhones from two air hostesses. Further investigations prompted the call for the return of the male members of the crew from the hotel, which revealed an additional 54 phones. All these phones ARE worth millions of rupees. The perpetrators of the attempted smuggling have made statements. Though the cell phones were confiscated, the crew members were allowed to return home after the inquiry.
