Trump’s Warning: Produce in US or Pay Tariffs

During a video appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, US President Donald Trump firmly warned global leaders to either manufacture their products in the US or pay hefty tariffs. Speaking from the White House, the president shared his plans to cut taxes, deregulate industries, and take action against illegal immigration.
In a stern message, the President said, “Come make your product in America, and we will give you among the lowest taxes of any nation on earth. But if you don’t make your product in America, which is your prerogative, then very simply, you will have to pay a tariff.” During the speech, Trump also connected the war in Ukraine to oil prices.

Donald Trump also disclosed that he would urge Saudi Arabia and the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to bring down the crude prices. “If the price came down, the Russia-Ukraine war would end immediately.” He also sent a message to central banks, stating that he would “demand an immediate reduction in interest rates”—a sign that he might apply pressure on the independent US Federal Reserve.
