The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, Federal Board of Revenue, and Oil Companies Advisory Council have introduced a mobile application called Rahguzar. The application uses a geographic information system to assist users in finding licensed fuel outlets in any area.
Its launch is a significant step towards the digital transformation of Pakistan’s oil supply chain.

The Rahguzar app will help consumers, district governments and law enforcement agencies locate illicit shops or “box stations.” It will also empower Pakistani consumers to identify illegal outlets, overcharging practices, or quality issues. Complaints concerning empowerment will also be registered.
The Chairman of OGRA revealed that the plan was developed after discussions between OGRA and FBR in August 2024. He further highlighted that the launch of ‘Rahguzar’ is the first phase of the overall track-and-trace system. This will promote accountability, impede unlawful activities and improve the integrity of the oil industry.
>The Chairman added that this project would revolutionise the way we handle the problems caused by unlawful petrol stations and corruption.
