Students In Sindh Govt Schools To Receive Free Lunch

The Sindh government, in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), has decided to provide free lunches to children at government schools.

An official statement on Wednesday stated that the initiative seeks to address malnutrition and food insecurity, promoting better health and academic performance.

The first phase will begin in the Malir district, where the baseline survey of schools and nearby areas will be carried out. Under this aim, schools will provide 11,000 students with hot meal lunch boxes. Based on first-year results, the programme may expand to more government schools in Sindh.
