While MrBeast dangled self-elimination bribes along the way, only 85 contestants opted to take the money and leave, allowing the most determined players to advance.
Originally set at $5 million, the final prize pool was doubled to $10 million after a contestant correctly guessed the outcome of a coin flip in Episode 9. This twist raised the stakes going into the grand finale, where only six players remained.
The Final Showdown
In the thrilling final episode, the six remaining contestants faced four intense challenges that whittled the field down to just two: Jeffrey Allen (contestant #831) and Twana Barnett (#830). The ultimate test involved a rotating table holding 10 briefcases, one of which contained the life-changing $10 million check.
Barnett was tasked with shuffling the briefcases while Allen had his eyes closed. But Allen, known for his meticulous strategy throughout the competition, skillfully asked Barnett a series of tricky questions to read her reactions. With calculated confidence, he locked in his choice on his first try—and to everyone’s astonishment, it was the correct briefcase.
A Win with a Purpose
Allen’s victory was not just a personal triumph but a deeply emotional one. His 7-year-old son, Lucas, suffers from Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD), a rare brain disorder that affects speech, cognitive development and motor function. With no existing cure for CTD, Allen has long advocated for research and funding. He has expressed his commitment to using a portion of his winnings to help find a cure for the disease.
