Sindh Government Announces School Timings For Ramadan

In preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, the Sindh Education Department has announced updated school timings for primary, secondary, higher secondary and elementary institutions, including both single and double-shift schools.

Primary schools operating in a single shift will run from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, with an adjusted schedule on Fridays to 11:30 am.

For double-shift primary schools, the first shift will take place from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the second shift from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm. On Fridays, the first shift will remain the same, while the second shift will end earlier, running from 11:45 am to 1:30 pm.

Secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools following a single shift will have classes from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, with shortened hours on Fridays from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. For double-shift institutions at these levels, the first shift will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and the second shift will run from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm. On Fridays, the second shift will end earlier, concluding at 1:15 pm.

These adjustments aim to accommodate students and staff during the fasting month, ensuring a balanced schedule that respects religious practices while maintaining academic continuity in school.
