In recent years, Pakistan Navy has ramped up naval diplomacy, especially with Gulf nations, to enhance maritime security and defence collaboration. This aligns with Islamabad’s broader strategy to maintain stability in regional waters and secure key trade routes amid evolving geopolitical dynamics.
The UAE event includes naval vessels from eight countries and delegations from 65 nations. It comes shortly after Pakistan hosted the AMAN-25 multinational exercise, where 60 countries participated in maritime drills to boost regional security and cooperation.
Following AMAN-25, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia held the Affaa Al Sahil bilateral naval exercise in Karachi, showcasing firepower and combat tactics.
During its UAE visit, PNS Yarmouk also carried out joint exercises with the UAE Navy’s ship Al Emarat, reinforcing operational coordination between the two navies.
