The UAE has awarded Golden Residency to 16,456 outstanding students and education specialists, boosting the countryโs commitment to fostering academic excellence. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) shared the announcement, highlighting the long-term visa program’s impact.
The largest group of recipients includes 10,710 top-performing high school students, followed by 5,246 graduates from UAE universities. Additionally, 337 education specialists, 147 graduates from global institutions and 16 elite scholars in education received the prestigious residency.

Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP, made the announcement on Emirati Education Day, observed on February 28. He emphasised the UAE’s dedication to shaping a future-ready generation with cutting-edge skills and knowledge. โThe UAEโs educational strategy aims to build well-informed and skilled national cadres, ensuring they stay ahead in an evolving global landscape,โ Al Khaili stated.
The Golden Residency programme, designed to attract and retain talent, offers long-term stability to students, researchers, and specialists. Al Khaili noted that the initiative motivates recipients and their families, strengthening the UAEโs status as a global education and innovation hub.
