Fortunately, Moore retained her composure despite the obvious disappointment. Recently, a video surfaced on “X” which showed her gritting her teeth and saying something. A lip reader Nicole Hickling deciphered it to be just one word, “nice.” She had no trace of a smile and her demeanor suggested that it was clearly a forced acknowledgement.

Mikey Madison Dedicated her Reward to the Sex Worker Community
On the other hand, Mikey Madison appeared dazed by her victory, delivering an emotional speech in which she dedicated her reward to the ‘Sex working community.’
“Yes, I will continue to support and be an ally. All of the incredible people, the women that I’ve had the privilege of meeting from that community, have been one of the highlights of this incredible experience,” she quoted.
Lack of Credit for “The Substance”
This is quite a surprising turn of events for many as Moore’s film was widely praised throughout the award season. She portrayed a Hollywood actress-turned-fitness-guru desperate to maintain her youth. The story tackled how the industry has a history of discriminating female celebrities after a certain age. It outlines how many actresses deal with the problems of substance abuse and addiction. ‘The Substance’ was regarded as the type of work that would finally grant the actress an Oscar win yet it was only rewarded for the Makeup and Hairstyling category.
Demi Moore’s Fans are Beyond Disappointed
Demi’s fans were greatly disappointed. They think that the veteran actress was robbed due to personal bias and because her movie was from the horror genre. Well, they aren’t wrong, Oscars do have a history of undermining performances and giving priority to personal bias.
