Wedding in the Upper Region

According to the synoptic situation issued Thursday morning, a trough of a westerly wave is present over western Pakistan and may impact the upper regions over the next 24 hours.

For Thursday, mainly dry weather is expected across most of the country. However, isolated rain-wind or thunderstorms are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and the Potohar region. Gusty winds are expected in Punjab and Sindh.

Friday is expected to bring similar conditions—hot and dry weather across plain areas, with chances of isolated showers in the upper parts.

Over the past 24 hours, light rain was recorded at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, including Cherat (3mm), Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu (1mm), and a trace in Rawalpindi. Dry weather persisted in most other areas.

Authorities have advised residents to take precautions, stay indoors during peak hours and remain hydrated as the hot and dry spell continues.
