Iqra Aziz started her career in television in 2014 through Kissey Apna Kahein as Shanzey. Although the start was humble, she soon started making headlines by appearing back-to-back in 2015, such as in Muqaddas, where she portrayed the lead character and captured hearts with her depth of emotions. In the same year, she also landed a role in Mol as Sajjal, proving once again that she is capable of portraying demanding characters.

In 2016, Iqra’s professional life picked up speed with various characteristics in dramas such as Socha Na Tha, Deewana, Kisay Chahoon, Laaj, Choti Si Zindagi, and Natak. Later in the year, Iqra gave another critically successful performance in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi as Noor “Noori” Bano, a part that depicted a determined girl of lower socio-economic status. Her performance as Noori earned her acclaim from viewers and critics and cemented her position as one of the best actresses of her generation.

After her breakthrough, Iqra went on to play a range of roles. In 2020, she appeared in Kasak and Jhooti, both as complex characters with depth. Her performance as Nirma in Jhooti was especially praised for its multi-layered and sometimes provocative character development.

In 2025, Iqra Aziz features in Paradise, a romantic comedy TV series with the charming Shuja Asad. The drama, which is set in a fictional Pakistani beach town, has drama, comedy, and sweet romance. Iqra features as “Maya,” a travel vlogger who, by accident, ends up staying in a beach resort and finds herself, eventually. Critics have already begun referring to it as “Iqra’s most refreshing role yet.”

Word is, she’s also in negotiations to feature in an OTT web series, making her digital debut. With the Pakistani digital content landscape expanding, this could well be her next big step.
