Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that providing a safe and healthy work environment is a basic right for every worker. She explained that the success and progress of any institution depend heavily on the well-being and safety of its workforce. “A safe workplace forms the foundation of a thriving economy and a prosperous society,” she said.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the efforts of her government, mentioning that Punjab has taken several concrete steps to protect the welfare, safety and health of workers. She stated, “We are committed to ensuring the dignity, health, safety, and provision of essential facilities for every worker.”
She asked all industrial institutions and workers to strictly follow safety standards and regulations. “We must promote a culture where the life and health of every individual are paramount,” she added.
The Chief Minister encouraged everyone to come together in the mission to create safer, healthier, and more successful workplaces. “The World Day for Safety and Health at Work reminds us to raise awareness about potential hazards and accidents in the workplace,” she said.

Referring to the theme of World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2025, Maryam Nawaz underlined the “Revolutionary Role of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation for Safety and Health.” She stressed the importance of adopting modern technology to strengthen safety standards at work.
