Here’s what happened
The man said in a video message that he took a Red Bus from his Clifton home to Daud University and that he gave the conductor five Rs. 10 banknotes as payment. One of the old banknotes was given back by the conductor, who instructed him to exchange it. The conductor threatened to depart him after the professor asked him if he had any spare change or another bill. The conductor and professor then traded insults. The bus conductor and driver are accused of torturing the passenger after the verbal altercation. According to Dr. Atif Jameel, he filed a complaint with the Darakhshan police station under the category of threats to one’s life.
Incidents like this make the citizens of Karachi wonder if they’re safe in their own city at all.
