In a significant development in the murder case of Mustafa Aamir, a young man abducted and killed in Karachi’s Defence area, police have arrested four individuals, allegedly including the son of renowned actor Sajid Hasan.
The arrests were made following revelations by detained suspects Armaghan and Shiraz. Law enforcement agencies conducted raids in various Defence areas, leading to the apprehension of the four individuals.
Sources indicate that among those arrested is the son of actor Sajid Hasan. The police have confirmed that all four suspects, including the actor’s son, have been detained on charges of drug trafficking and will be interrogated accordingly.
The police have also informed the families of the arrested individuals about their detention.
Furthermore, authorities have submitted a report to the Anti-Terrorism Court, revealing that the suspects had previously assaulted a woman a day before Mustafa Aamir’s murder.
In the latest development, the court has granted a five-day physical remand to the police for further investigation of the suspects.
Armughan, who has a previous criminal history, remains at the centre of the probe as police uncover more details about his activities.
According to police records, Armughan was implicated in several serious crimes since 2019, including terrorism, attempted murder, narcotics trafficking, and extortion. Over the years, he faced charges in multiple police stations, including Darakhshan, Sahil, Gizri, Boat Basin, and ANF.
During questioning in the remand room, Armughan confessed to taking measures to cover his tracks before his arrest. He admitted to deleting all data from the laptops at his home, hindering investigators’ ability to retrieve critical evidence.
