FaceTime is one of iPhone and Apple’s signature features. It allows a Sykpe like video calling service where two individuals can enjoy painless video chat.
However, what many are unaware of is that many iPhone users were unable to use FaceTime in Pakistan as Apple did not support the country.
iPhones are sold as 2 models, FaceTime locked models and FaceTime unlocked models, considering many were not privileged with the feature, the imported variants had witnessed an increase in demand.
But now, thanks to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), things have started to look-up for the country and its citizens and FaceTime has now become enabled in Pakistan.
In order to use the feature, the iPhone user simply has to install the new iOS update 12.4. One of the terms in the update reads:
Enables FaceTime video and audio calling for iPhone and iPad devices sold in Pakistan.
This is for the following models:
- iPhone 5s
- iPhone 6, 6 Plus
- iPhone 7, 7s, 7 Plus, 7s Plus
- iPhone 8, 8 Plus
- iPhone XR, Xs, Xs Plus
After the iOS update, the user simply has to restart their phone in order to be able to use the feature.
Enjoy!
