Pre-requisites of Apple Intelligence

The serviceability of Apple Intelligence is restricted to iPhone 16 models and iPhone Pro 15 series devices. To optimise its functionality, ensure:

  • iOS 18.1 is installed on your iPhone.
  • You have a minimum of 4 GB free storage space.
  • The device and Siri languages have been configured to any of the supported languages.

Initially, global support for English (US) will be incorporated in Apple Intelligence. However, by December, other English dialects like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK will also be supported. Over the course of 2025, Apple aspires to introduce additional languages such as Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Regional Accessibility of Apple Intelligence

The debut of Apple Intelligence will exclude the European Union (EU) and mainland China. If your accounts or devices are linked to these regions, you can only activate Apple Intelligence if you’re situated outside EU or China. However, Apple is optimistic about including these regions in the future. This will enable compatible devices to access Apple Intelligence upon its launch.

Apple is introducing “Apple Intelligence” with iOS 18.1, a personal intelligence system that integrates generative models with user-specific contexts to enhance communication, productivity, and self-expression on iPhone. Apple Intelligence is designed to function seamlessly while ensuring user privacy and security. Here’s how to set it up, who can access it, and what features it brings to iOS 18.1.
