Prime Minister Imran Khan announced ground-breaking news that Asia’s largest oil and gas reserves may soon be found in Karachi’s offshore waters.
According to the Express Tribune, Khan announced that the nation would likely be hearing major progress in this regard within the next three weeks.
However, the premier did not reveal details of the offshore drilling process in Pakistani waters.
According to Khaleej Times, Khan stated:
“Just pray that our hopes and expectations from the offshore drilling being carried out by ExxonMobil-led consortium prove to be true.”
This development will likely end all of Pakistan’s economic woes.
“There’s already been a delay of about three weeks, but if the indications we are getting from the companies are anything to go by, there’s a strong possibility that we may discover a very big reserve in our waters. And if that happens, Pakistan will altogether be in a different league”
The world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, Exxon Mobil is re-entering Pakistan after 27 years.
Apparently, surveys were carried out about the possibility of big oil reserves within the Pakistani waters.
