A massive fire has erupted at the 60 storey Bahria Icon Tower in Karachi and firefighters are attempting to extinguish the blaze.
The fire broke out in the early hours of Monday on the eighth floor where a cinema and marriage hall were being constructed.
The reasons for theĀ fire has not been ascertained yet.

According to Dawn News, three fire brigades have reached the site and are aiming to douse the flames.Ā

Reportedly, the fire department earlier claimed that the fire was under control as of 8:20 am.

However, eyewitnessesĀ revealed that the blaze had later reignited.

The tower is located adjacent to Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mazaar in Karachiās Clifton. Roads have been closed near the building.
