What’s more, she posted a beautiful photograph of her self and stated:
“If I decided to kill myself anytime soon, I want you all to remember me like this. Just in this saree, on a spring afternoon looking happy, too happy!”.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness at the incident revealed that nobody went to help Rushaan and get her down from the roof. What’s tragic is that various passersby thought that she was pulling off a stunt.
I cant forget the screams that engulfed the entire building when Roshaan Farrukh jumped off the building. I cant forget the deadly silence that engulfed the building when they took her away. This has been the most traumatizing experience of my life. To witness a suicide directly

Extremely saddened. People these days seek attention using depression, and the ones that actually need help lose their voice. We as a nation don’t give mental health any importance. People are more worried about her akhirat than the root cause. RIP Rushaan.

I can’t imagine the kind of pain Rushaan went through. The kind of pain her loved ones are going through. Rest In Peace Rushaan. How many people do we have to lose before we take mental health seriously?

People are finally realizing that it is has become impertinent to talk about depression and mental health.
RIP Rushaan!
How many more suicides would it take for people to start taking #mentalhealth seriously? #rushaanfarrukh

Mahira Khan too took notice of Rushaan’s death and penned a thought-provoking tweet.
Addressing educational institutes and parents, she urged all to take depression amongst youngsters seriously.
When will we start taking mental health seriously? When will we stop calling people mad or ridicule them for how they feel?
We need counselors in schools. Not just for students. We need to educate parents and teachers!! pic.twitter.com/JnEQZj59dd— Mahira Khan (@TheMahiraKhan) November 27, 2018
Rushaan’s painful story speaks volumes of how we as a society need to help those suffering from mental health issues. It is important that we save lives by reaching out to those who are diagnosed with depression and no dismiss it as a ‘minor” thing. Take their feelings seriously and support their emotional needs by being judgemental.
We extend our heartiest condolences to Rushaan and her family. May her soul rest in peace.
