Leading fashion designer Deepak Parwani hosted a grand Diwali bash over the weekend. And as expected, all the big-wigs of Pakistan’s fashion and entertainment world turned up to party the night out.
Our celebrities geared up to put their grand, most elegant fashion foot forward. Dressing to the nines, some stars wowed us with theirย exquisite looks. The rest failed to ace their style statements and made us wonder what went wrong!
It was a saree extravagnaza for women while men mostly dressed in kameez shalwar.
So without further ado, we bring to you the best and worst dressed Pakistani celebrities from Deepak’s Diwali party.
Best Dressed Celebrities
Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan never goes wrong with her sartorial choices. The heavy jhumkay, minimal makeup, red lips, andย plain black gharara made her look flawless.
Fauzia Aman
The supermodel looked no less than a sultry siren at the Diwali bash. Draped in graceful white saree and straight, parted hair, Fauzia looked every bit of vision.
Ayesha Omer
Choosing maroon, black and gold, Ayesha literally glowed at the event. Her regal lehnga made her look all ready to make their Bollywood debut in a Karan Johan movie.
Sarwat Gillani and Fahad Mirza
The pair always look perfect in desi wear and complimented each other in white. Although we are not rooting for Sarwat’s blingy bag.
Amna Ilyas
The dusky diva flaunted an off-white saree paired with silver chunky jewelry like a pro. Once a haseena, always a haseena!
Sadaf Kanwal
With a shocking pink and mehndi green saree and her megawatt smile, Sadaf was easily turning heads at the bash.
Wasim Akram & Shaneria
The Akrams dressed minimalistic but rocked their desi wear. Shaneria’s blonde beachy waves and no-makeup totally complimented her beige outfit.
Worst Dressed Celebritiesย
Areeba Habib
Seems like Areeba Habib failed to pull off her floral Nomi Ansari lehenga. The green sling bag made it look even more off-putting.
Zhalay Sarhadi
Is it us or the grey-black maxi by Zhalay give her more of a gothic look. Not so much of a Diwali ensemble.
Ayesha Toor
Ayesha Toor’s strapless saree was a huge disappointment. Its huge flowery motifs reminded us of a bedsheet. Giving her look a major thumbs down.
Sonya Hussyn
The starlets’ bright yellow saree with fringes with an eyesore. Better luck next time Sonya.
Nausheen Shah
Somebody needs to tell Nausheen Shah that it was a Diwali party and not a cultural evening.
