New Zealand beat South Africa by 50 runs in the second semi-final of the ICC Menโs Champions Trophy 2025 at Lahoreโs Gaddafi Stadium. Despite David Millerโs late heroics, South Africa couldnโt chase the 363-run target.
South Africa started poorly when Matt Henry dismissed Ryan Rickelton (17) in the fifth over, leaving them at 20/1. Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen steadied the innings with a 105-run partnership. Bavuma scored 57 off 71 balls, while van der Dussen made 69 off 66. Mitchell Santner took both wickets, breaking South Africaโs momentum.

At 218/8, South Africaโs chances faded, but Miller fought back with a stunning 100 off 67 balls, hitting 10 fours and 4 sixes. His powerful knock thrilled fans, but New Zealandโs bowlers kept control. Santner led with 3 wickets for 43 runs. Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry took 2 wickets each, sealing the win.
Earlier, New Zealand scored 362/6, powered by centuries from Rachin Ravindra (108) and Kane Williamson (102). Will Young fell early for 13, but Ravindra and Williamson built a solid base. Daryl Mitchell added a quick 49, while Glenn Phillips smashed 49 off 27 balls.
New Zealand, unbeaten throughout the tournament in Pakistan, will now face India in the final on Sunday in Dubai.
