CEO Sam Altman addressed the downtime with a lighthearted tweet at 9:13 AM, saying, “We back,” and jokingly adding, “I was about to offer to start being the mechanical turk for ChatGPT.” Some users responded with frustration, pointing out the lengthy disruption.

This marks the second instance of downtime in recent months. Last month, ChatGPT faced a shorter 30-minute disruption, affecting over 19,000 users globally.
